I've bought the MSI dongle and also cannot get it to work with anything other than pairing. When I use send to bluetooth it just says could not connect to remote device although it finds it fine.
None of the Ericsson s/w or xtended will work at all with it.

Can somebody who has it working post a summary of their configuration? Or an idea how they got it all working and with what OS please?

There's an existing dedicated thread here in esato for MSI Bluetooth Transceiving Key (USB Adapter model 6967) .

@rucifel, maybe you'd like the post your queries there?

i use the tdk go blue usb and pcmcia adapters.
the usb works fine but the pcmcia got poroblems when installing the software with the file serenum.sys.
i described this in the technical forum.
shortly: with the pcmcia card i cannot bind the serial port to a cirtual usb port and therefore not sync with outlokk.

I have the 3com PC-card bluetooth card, which I bought for 130. What I really like about it is that the antenna can easily be folded into the card, so I can have the card in the slot all the time. No need to remove it when I put the laptop in its case to move it, doesn't take up any extra space, etc.

With sendfile open, go to the control panel and open Phone Monitor Options after you establish a serial connect using "My Bluetooth Places". When the Phone Monitor detects the phone it will show an icon in the systray. It should work.

I need to buy a BT adaptor soon... I'm wondering, what exactly am I looking for in one?

GOwin wrote "...supports the following profiles". How do I find out if a particular BT adaptor does this? Does it need to?

I got the Belkin USB Bluetooth Adapter, works like a charm, exactly for what I need. Maybe I should mention that I use it with the Motorola A835 *3G phone* and that with their software (mobile PhoneTools) I have yet to discover a problem....
