well, since i upgraded to r4a, i experienced about two resets while using GPRS, kind of an improvement from r3a wherein resets were more common.

well, on my last phone i have resets almost everytime i use GPRS.

am not using it right now coz GPRS is acting up lately, so i dunno if this phone replacement really solved the issue. though, i got a reset last night when i opened several web pages at the same time.

@GOwin, just a thought... put in a smart sim card and try gprs. you have to borrow one that has gprs activation though...

@GOwin: FW is R4A, but dunno the HW 'coz the Semicon sticker covered it, and I didn't want to tamper with the sticker.

relatively, i sometimes experience lcd problems (artifacts, jumbled grapfics), common when it was r3a, only seldom, but still a bother. similar experiences?

no other problem except the GPRS reboot. i used to have reboot problems with SMS, i haven't had any so far (knock on wood).

i don't know anyone who uses SMART GPRS except you. so next EB (let's not forget to include Jems ) lend me your SIM card and we'll test it

@dan47, thanks. I hope you're offer is good until next week coz i'm going to "torture" this phone over the weekend, and that will be the determinant for the need to swap.

used to have the same "rebooting" problem with my old T39, almost everyday when on GPRS via cable, IR or Bluetooth palm. But eversince I had it replaced at smartnet.... no problemo...2 months and counting... when I have no clinic, I used my 'new' T39 as a modem hooked to my pc via IR ( WinME ) sometimes as long as 9 straight hours without rebooting.... surfing, downloading and checking for updates ( sw ) and emails ( many acct. eh )

mine is HW R3b FW R3b 02w10

only problem is:
1. stand by time
2. imminent GPRS not being free.... he he he

i have a t39 with hw r2b fw r3b 01w47. i don't have any problems using gprs on wap, but when i use it on my pc, my phone reboots every now and then. there's no specific site that causes this problem, i think, and it happens also even with only one window running.
