I don't think these shortcode SMS numbers work outside the country.
At work I listen to Londons capital radio via the net and they give out shortcode SMS numbers and I have tried doing that from germany on my UK vodafone sim and it doesn't work because I never get anything back, but it does work on same phone/sim when I am in UK.
I even tried prefixing it with +44 (for UK) but still didn't work, unfortunately.

theres http://www.one.at/gamearea in which you can download the game.. and using my very primitive knowledge of austrain, which happens to be nothing at all, im presuming you have to sign up, then you can download it

yep, here is the direct link to it and it does look like you need to register
edit: going through the initial part of the sign up it seems it has to send you an SMS message to validate you

yup but they accept foreign phone numbers for your securuty code so that is the good news
