yep, you cant beat that processing power in a console. Not yet anyway. But I remember how many ps2 owners were saying "yeah well GTA is playstation only... bla bla" Then when they released GTA 3 and Vice City on X-Box and they saw how much better the graphics were, the very same people screamed like little school girls.
Another advantage to modding your X-Box is so you can have a standalone DiVX player... Well AVI. files, you get what I mean. That part rocks! And the free online gaming, thats fun as hell...

Phone - You could get a real nice one and play real cool games on the go and chat with sytle and listen to MP3s (if you want)
But there are newer ones coming out later, even in a few months.
X-Box - Game better than ever, Play more games, copy games so you can rent them not buy them later. Maybe even install Linux or something so you could emulate windows on the X-box! Yet again, the processor is limited and new systems are coming out next year (planned to be at 3GHZ). 
Just decide which you could or would use more! (And think of what's coming in the future)
Maybe you could even sell a few X-Box games to buy both!  |

i modded mine painstakingly xmas b4 last...then recently put the 120GB HD in....nice 
got the Evolution X dashboard and back up all my (legally cough purchased)games to the HD.
i never installed a switch so i cant revert back to the original bios and play xbox live, but i do play online using xbconnect, check out xbconnect.com for tunneling software that allows you to play Multi Link games over broadband using hosting software running on your PC.
its simple and free to setup....if you have an xbox, modded or otherwise, all you need is a network lead(crossover or system link cable) to plug into your PC network card and your away.

Im my opinion, ps2 has a cheap feel. Thd games are good but frepuently controls and graphics are dissapointing. There was a time when ps2 rocked. But its now neither modern or retro enough 4 my taste. Xbox is the basis 4 the console of the future.

i have an xbox and would LOVE it modded but omg would you rather whip out a phone that ownz everyone else or tell them u got a modded xbox, ure choice or as someone said buy mod save money from *cough* not paying for game *cough* and then buy a P900 |

xbox pad gives you claw hand its huge imo
and its butt ugly and takes forever for the good games to come on it it took it 3 years to get GTA and whilst your playing that we will have GTA san andreas |

please don't even start to compare the PS2 to the Xbox. The PS2 is behind its time, the slowest processor compared to GC and Xbox and no HD lets it down. This is shown on games that are released across all platforms, the xbox always has the better graphics. Also the xbox controller S is one of the most comfortable controllers available, the ps2 controller is also an old design which looks like it was taken from the shape of a SNES controller, where as the xbox controllers are innovation.
I have been looking at modding my xbox. The cost is the only thing that puts me off, as i wouldn't want to mod it myself so would need to pay for it to be done. I would get a 120gb hard drive a good chip (excuter pro) then something like the evo dash board.
You could get the phone for your birthday, borrow the money for the xbox mod, then copy all games on to the HD then sell the games and pay back the money you borrowed.

For the last f-ing time! Xbox beats ps2. Ps2 stil use the same old sticky pad. The only reason it took so long for xbox to get gta was that sony wouldnt sell it 2 microsoft until sales went down

actually the xbox has a 32 bit processoer where as the Ps2 has a true 128 bit processor. The Xbox has to go through 4 clock cycles to out put the same amount of data the ps2 out puts in one clock cycle this is why the xbox needs the more processing power to keep up with the ps2 also the only reason the xbox has good graphics is because it has a Nvidia GPU
finally the date of thes pad design is irrelavant waht matters is that the design works and the ps2 pad design works great unlike the god awfull xbox pad your forced to buy another smaller pad just so you can play with out hand cramp also the xbox needs you to buy a crap plug just to watch DVD's! Incidently a company bought out an adapter which allows you to use your ps2 pad on the Xbox it sold like mad microsoft had to pay the company off to stop producing them as they were suffering from pad sales what does this tell you about the crappy xbox pad
its game play that counts not graphics ps2 has the quality games first with more than acceptable graphics.

Force feedback racing wheel
the list goes on ps2 has the most AAA titles as exclusives whilst your playing old games which have been out for ages.
You need the xbox mod simply because it looks butt ugly and weighs a flipping ton.
