when manufacturers stated a required version, it is usually, or even always that they say it as...this version or higher.
so when it says it is compatible with 10.3.2...it is also compatible with higher versions like the latest 10.3.4 |

Sounds to me it's a problem with your phone settings; be sure BT is enabled and the phone is discoverable (read the phone's manual for this).
If that's not the problem, try to find an other BT device (a friend's phone?).
Or try a different BT dongle.

I have the same problem. The problem is actually and issue with the firmware on your phone most likely. I purchased my phone a few weeks ago and was able to get it to sync with absolutely no problems in iSync everytime. Then, I decided to update the firmware on my phone to the latest (R5b02), and ever since then I have the exact same symptoms you have.
I did some research and found out there is a problem between iSync and this firmware, so hopefully, either SE or Apple will resolve it soon. I hope this sheds some light on your problem. |

Hello all... Thanks for your replies...
Actually, my phone firmware is still on R3C006... Yesterday, i have successfully added my P9 to iSync devices.. having no idea how I did it.. hehehe just tried and tried. Yet after doing that, iSync still fails to sync.. its says "it could'nt connect" darn...
I am losing hope already hehehe plan to get rid of either my P9 or my iBook hahaha

I know this isn't the answer you want to hear, but when I had this problem, I had to delete the pairing and re-pair the phone to the mac. Try it. |

Let's not get rid of either the iBook or the P900 now, shall we? If you still haven't done anything foolish yet, calm down and do this:
In the Bluetooth settings, select your device (iBook) and check the allow to connect w/o confirmation. Maybe the iBook has been trying to connect and you did not manually accept its connection!
Get back if it does or does not work. |

Hey guys!!!
iSync finally worked!!! re-paired from the phone, changed some settings, re-boot and OLA!!! Thanks to all of you!!!
Maybe you can also help me with another thing.... My HP network printer is not working thru my iBook... I successfully added the printer... the printel model driver is also pre-loaded into the system... Either i get garbage text on top or the printer goes on and on getting paper.. 
I hope I can the workaround soon because for me to print i have to transfer my file to a PC within the network and print from there...

@2manydjs, i like the name! i have the album!
with regards to your pairing problem, always pair up from your p900, go into:control panel/connections/bluetooth/devices. if your computer is paired delete it and re-pair again you will have to put in a passkey(your choice) this will then bond again to your computer, you should now be able to sync! i hope this helps you good luck! |

These guys have posted extensive information about why iSync does and does not work. In short, SE uses an application called mRouter and this is used to connect and send data back and forth between the phone and the Mac. mRouter was originally written for the Windoze community. It is not a very elegant solution but hey, it's Windoze. Anyway, the iSync solution is much easier in terms of functionality and reliablity. The cable solution is too cumbersome. The ideal solution would be to use OBEX over Bluetooth over SyncML, but SE has not decided to do this. Currently with the P900/P800 and iSync it is hit and miss. I get 100% iSync's but I have not upgraded to R5B02, however some have and it works. Some have and it does not work. The thing to do would be to press SE about this as the fault lies with SE rather than Apple on this issue. |
