Also, I was told that the covers are only 'dummys' so they cannot be used as a real phone cover. Whether this is true or not is another thing, but do u realy wanna waste £15 on something thats useless??
Its upto you guys anyway!!

I think that it is probably time to give up trying to get hold of these dummy phones they are in high demand at the momnet - wit the release of T68i - may be worth leaving it a few weeks if you want to attempt this. |

I managed to get hold of a dummy T68i here in Singapore cos my friend works in a phone retail shop. It's true that you cannot salvage the housing for use on a T68m for the foll. reasons;
1. The main phone chasis is different from a real phone in that it doesn't have a slot for your SIM.
2. You'll have a hard time removing the front cover if you still insist on salvaging the front cover because the ppl at SE used tons of glue! Looks like the HOT GLUE type!
3. It is true that the finishing is of inferior quality. Ever noticed how scruffy the display dummies look after some handling?
Anyway, cheer up. It is a good idea after all. I must admit that I went to get one hoping to do the same. |
