It was really one of the 'boring' ever presentation of the Oscar's Awards Night - it's 76th, as lamented by one of CNN's news correspondents - almost entirely, if not for the heroics and funny performance by the host - Bill Crystal, that was the time when he sang . . . As director, Steven Spielberg declared the winner of the year's best picture award, and I quote : "It was a clean sweep" - for the movie, The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the Kings ! 11 nominations and they got all the 11 awards - I guess it was the first in the history of the academy ! Though honestly speaking, I just haven't watched even the first part of the sequel . . . They say it was really time consuming. My bet - The Seabiscuit and The Master and Commander flicks didn't made it through - even in getting some minor awards - at least two . . .
Well, after all is said and done. Congrats! to director Peter Jackson for the painstakingly effort he did to the movie - he was really vindicated this time !
