@hogemeister: what do you mean by that? the DT50 is an 50cc and the TZR is a 250cc... you can't drive an 250cc as it's no longer a moped, but an light motorcykel... I will need to take the licence for that,... but tell me what you mean... cos I realy going to buy th YAMAHA DT50.. great moped...

@ Yaesu - I nearly bought one of those, wish I had as I bought a 750 turbo instead. If it wasn't for the hinge in the middle of the frame it would have been a blinder
As for what I'm riding now ... it's a 1500SE Goldwing, black with a little chrome, and a few lights. If anyone's interested I could post a couple of pictures - I've got hundreds! I've got some of my mate's as well ... only his is in a state of flux at the moment as we're re-wiring it ... not an easy job as there's probably more loom in the bike than most cars!
I'm thinking about selling the Wing ...

The DT is a good wee starter bike, but then get your full bike licence as quickly as possible. Then sell the DT, and get the TZR 250. They were commonly known as pocket rockets when they came out. A bit dated now, but still great bikes. |

@anti_christ666 - Nice one there again mate !!! The CBR 900 looks fabulous as ever. Do you collect big bike pics ? Looks like you have so many in your possession. By the way, do you have any idea how they call those kind of headlights now, about 4 years ago, the latest to consider then was the 'cat-eye' types. But in the looks of your Suzuki Hayabusa and the CBR 900, these are new styles to reckon with. Also, what's the biggest engine displacement do these bike co's. now produce? Your Hayabusa has a 1300cc capacity, does 1500cc now already exist, and I am mentioning the sports production category here. We all know that the cruiser types has 'almost' the biggest engine displacements out in the market, just like what @masseur posted - Honda Goldwing, I guess it already has a 1500cc engine displacement during it's assumption in the late 80's or early 90's. Can you post also some Aprilia/Bimota/Triumph 2003 photos here . . . I am beginning to become a big fan of yours to be honest ! |

... ackshoeally the 'wing is now in it's 1800 guise - but AFAIK there's a new Triumph due for release (or has it been released??) that is over two litres.
I'm not really feeling that many of you in this thread actually ride 'real' bikes  ... it strikes me as though some of you are wannabes.
I have watched recent governments in the UK try to legislate people off two wheels and am perturbed that perhaps prospective riders are impressed by the fact that bikes like the 'busa, the 'blade et al are cool because they are fast. Yes, they're fast, yes, they handle (compared to the bikes I've ridden over the years) but the thing that makes the bike scene cool (for me anyway) is the comradeship (I couldn't spell the word I wanted to use). My closest friends are/have been the sort of people that most people would cross the street to avod - their loss.
The point is that none of us ride fast bikes, some of our bikes don't handle - try cornering with 12'' overs - but we all share the same ideas, the same values. The point I'm trying to make is that there's more to riding than going fast round corners on a dry Sunday afternoon in the summer.
@ Krubach - trikes - I've had two and think that they're the business ... even if you get stuck in traffic! Still with a snarling Alsatian on the back seat who'd argue???
