You can if you have an older version of Kazaa that doesn't have the built in AV.

I had a bunch of these emails, doesn't bother of as it's impossible for the virus to install itself no my system anyway, but i wouldn't worry about it, it's not a destructive virus, just a way to involve your computer in a massive DoS attack against company who deserve it, after that supposedly it removes itself anyway.

Yes, you have to open the attachment. As for Kazaa lite, I'm not sure. My version of Kazaa lite certainly doesn't have any inbuilt AV.

@vinnieza
There are viruses that can spread via HTML documents, but this particular one only arrives (via email, that is) in the form of an attachment.
The HTML ones still prompt you to download and install something (install on demand, i think they call it) although some contain 'ActiveX objects' which can in theory install themselves without your knowledge. I'm pretty sure that MS sorted that security flaw out quite a while ago, though.
HTML itself cannot contain viruses since viruses are either executable code, or bits of executable code whereas HTML is a mark-up language that is parsed by your web browser, windows itself does not 'run' HTML.
