Congratz SE with the results.

SE should be very stupid to say what they are all planning to do this year.
BTW every company releases this sort of info.

SE is the last thing Nokia needs to worry about. Why? Because in 2003, if I'm not mistaken, Nokia's GROWTH in sales was more than the TOTAL amount of phones sold by SE.
From Nokias to an SE to whatever.

Hmm, well,

a big reason why SE has sold more phones is that the total market has increased. SE is not winning market share --- they still have about 6% of the market in terms of mobile phones.

And Flying Finn is correct --- I don't think Nokia (approx 40% maket share) sees SE as a threat, at least not yet. It is more important for them to fight off Motorola (approx. 15% market share), Samsung and Siemens, not to mention the _new_ asian manufacturers, such as Panasonic and Sharp.

Still, the report is good news to SE users: The fact that SE is now profitable means that they will have more resources to develop new, nice models for us!

Agreed, for the time being, but that's hardly the consideration here is it? released financial results they can be satisfied with. That's all there is to it.

They make more and more profit every year
They sell more and more phones every year

But... there market share is still dropping. (6% now) and SonyEricsson stays 5th on the world market.

I believe SE wants to grow slow and steady... Making phones is one thing, they need a good support infrastructure too... Anyway, SE in it's current size shows that it can only but grow... :D SE rulez...
