hi everyone,
i would like to thank tranquil and masseur for their decision, and also everyone else for their kind words of congratulation.
for those who are wondering what my slogan means, tranquil's interpretation is correct. it refers locking of the thread immediately after the the requisite number of replies. it is also a play on the phrase "beat the clock".
thanks again 
i would also like to add i really appreciate the way that i, a relative newcomer, have been received by the forum population in general. thanks to everbody for making me feel welcome.
