Shall we just end this now lol, it is now proven that SE phones do refresh more and that we were on the right track the other day when dana was worried about the z600. So if its a feature SE's are supposed to have shall we just shut up about it now because people seem to be getting very annoyed and the conversation is going a bit off track, again...

All that Vlammetje meant was is if your standing next to a transmitter then you would get a full signal all the time simply becuase there would be no way you could loose the signal when your standing directly next to a transmitter. She was just explaining that it is possible to keep a steady singal if you keep your phone in one place, she was NOT questioning that SE phones do refresh more often.

why r we having a arguement about sumit totally stupid! as long as u hav a signal, does it matter? and i think i speak for all of us i say we all believe u went to a dude in a shop and asked him and thats wat he sed, and can we shut up about this topic, cos aslong as we all no that SE refresh more, there is nothin to worry about, i mean u went up to a professional in the subject, and still ur not happy! |

Dana... pls stop calling ppl liars.
Now it IS possible to have a steady signal all the time.
Let's take my workplace for example. We have a Vodafone and a T Mobile sending station on our roof.
So obviously, us inside the building will have full, non-fluctuating signal at all times.
Now when I go home, i do not have anything on my roof (rather obviously) and my signal fluctuates a lot more coz it refreshes it's siganl connection with the nearest tower, which is a bit further away then the one at work.
Simple as that. It re-reads the connection witht the further away tower and decides i have 4 bars signal at home. I think this'reading' is the actual drop in signal to 2 or 3 bars.
Now I for obne vote we let the subject rest now. his is the foruth thread and I for one think all has been said by now.

@Dana
Read Vlamm's message again.
She knows and accepts that SE has a faster/more accurate refresh rate than other phones (nokia). All she is just trying to say that it is possible to have a steady and strong signal depending on your location (how far or near you are to a transmitter). Now do get what she was trying to say? |

I think this is a classic case of quality, simply Sony Ericssons are of a higger quality. I mean they show you a true real time signal and to be honest I wouldn't be suprised if nokia showing a average signal strength was some kind of marketing scheme by them, lie to the users of their phones so they believe they get a better signal on a nokia. I have used nokias in the past (yes I know, I was silly) and I have had a full signal and someone has called me and the call would still be breaking up. So I think even thought a SE signal meter jumping about can look a bit weird I think I prefer the truth over the nokia myth.
