Nothing is wrong with your Z600! Ericsson phones do very quick updates of their reception status in contrast to Nokia and Motorola. I've had five of them so I know what I'm talking about.
Only thing to watch out for is if you get bad speech quality when your friends can do calls just fine. THAT might indicate a loose antenna or something similiar.
But for now, just IGNORE that the signal meter jumps on your phone. Who cares about what the phone THINKS about the quality of the signal, when it works just fine. |

yes but a correctly manufactured phone shouldnt have a reception meter that jumps around from bad reception to good in a couple of seconds
think its a fabrication faulty

no you, everyone is saying that its a feature of sony ericsson fones and they just refresh more quickly and that their fones do it too. So why do you keep saying that its faulty?

well you said that SE phones refresh more quickly, but that doesnt explain why the reception indicator is jumping around, its just a tought that you have, another aspect is that the antenna or something cant keep the connection properly?
if you flip the coin you could say that a nokia can keep a stable connection, and a faulty SE can not keep the connection and thats explaining why the indicator jumps up and down.

Dana, just understand. The Sony Ericssons actually show a reception value that's much closer to the truth than the Nokias, for instance.
As an analogy, what would you rather have, a 3-day old newspaper, or today's paper?
And now, despite the fact that you now KNOW that they are SUPPOSED to refresh faster, you still think it's a fault?! Get real! |

refresh faster you say...
if i remember right, i think my old T68 i keept the connection the whole time, full reception or almost full, the low reception only showed if i where in closed spaces.... i might be wrong.... |

even though the indicator is realtime the reception itself doesn't fluctuate much when you are outside in a city since it's close between the basestations. |
