caff,

i did and tested all the R5B language firmware. it have some problem with the mute function on ringing tone with closed.

normally we can mute the incoming ringtone when closed by pressing the volume button. but R5B seem to have problem of mute ringing tone when the ringtone rang for more than 5 sec.

Oh yes, me on the Z600 with R5B, like what fu1at said, the side volume buttons malfunction to mute the ringtone after it has been rang for sometime. If you mute it within seconds, then you are able to.

You may take it to us to get an authorized upgrade, since SE wont be taking them for another month.

OK guyz i have some questions. Those guyz from SE Austria have no clue what so ever. Well I have SE Z600 and look there its the ***** Vode Phone edition. So since I have strangely a version number of R5Cxxx and all of you guyz and even the technician said that they have only R5Bxx. Anyways now the technician said there was a guy and wanted to get rid off the ICONss..now the software he tried to update didnt work no his and the system stopped updating. So the only software that was update able on the phone was the another renewal of a VODA PHONE LIVE SOFTWARE.

So is that the software version is as mine R5C and can not be upgrade able by a less newer version R5Bxxx or is that the icons are not to be removed just by a software update!?

PLZ HELP!!
So that i can help the technician and get rid off those annoying, ugly voda phone icons.
URGENT....every help is very appreciated. Thank you. Since I dont want my guarantee to be lost i dont wanna do it by my own.

don't think you can have the Vodafone Live removed at a servicepoint due to restrictions in the update software, or it might work, don't know, haven't tried it.

R5B is the ordinary Z600 firmware, R5C is the Vodafone Live firmware

Nope you can't... Or I rather think they don't want to because you're not allowed...

At least the guy on the service center told me that neither they or I'm not allowed to upgrade my phone with the original FW...

Though you can make it yourself if you have the equipment for it...

Search the other threads to find out how..

I have a Vodafone Live! phone... and I called myself and let it ring a while... and I could still use it...

Firmware = r5c001

Thx Guyz....well its a real pain in my a$$ cant bear those stupid icons....so it means have to do it "illegally" although I dont understand that, since I have bought it and its my property. Why cant I just do whateva i want with it
Anyways....so I gotta search for some shop.
What kind of cable do I need to remove those icons..I mean there are so many cables with different pin standards. How do I identify the cable?!
(i might do it by my own)

I don't know why or how illegal it is...

But do try, beware though, if you make something wrong - the phone might not work...

But some says it's easy... Take a look in the forms and you might find some usefull hints, like what cable to use
