oh and compare the cxc number in these two pictures...
http://jesi.letku.net/t68i/service_01.jpg (a t68i)
http://www.pbase.com/image/1660928 (a t68m)
yes both are CXC125324...
that officially makes Elgato's T68m a T68i...
my t68m (and everyone else's im sure) says CXC125401
this means the software r2b025 is indeed the same for T68i & m... and is complete... without making any promises i would say this means us t68m users should see the software right about very soon
then the only valid reason we shouldn't have it VERY soonwould be because it requires new equipment to do or more expertise than the sc's currently have...
thats my 10 cents... hope im right

Well, guess I better go get it then tomorrow

It will be nice to have the "roll-menu" and to actually see the words, instead of just numbers.

Do you know guys where I can send my T68i to get the R2B ? I'm in Canada and nobody on continental US offers this service. They says they don't have any firware upgrade for the t68i because the phone hasn't been released yet.

I think the whole idea is, that when the T68m upgrade comes out, the people who already got the T68i, should have the same software already.

And I think at the moment its probably a bit easier to upgrade the T68i, as its already got the mms-software,..and the fact that there're not that many i-models out yet

is the software realy quicker? T9 on the t68i is quite slow, compared to my old Nokia 8210.

The new pop up menu is quite nice.. but sometimes it feels like it's in the way.
It pops up all the time.. so if you wanna go through what you've just written.. you have to press yes, or press 1..
But that's the only bad thing about it I think.. it makes typing sms a whole lot funnier, and easier.

Z___Z > Yes its faster. One very good reason, is that the processor-power has been diverted towards the sms-part.

I wouldnt exactly call the T68i's sms-writing slow,..of course it depends on what you compare it with. Nokia are very fast, always have been.

After using a T68i for a couple of days, I must say that using a T68m feels like going from a Ferrari to a Lada when it comes to sms & menu-speed! Maybe not the best comparison, but the T68i is a lot faster than a T68m IMHO!
I'm just not a signature kind of guy..

@ElGato

Is the sms-sound as low as on T68i or is it fixed in the 025-version?

If ElGato has been able to use the R2b025 in his T68m, and the R2b025 is available at EMMA2, shouldn't it be able for others to upgrade the T68m too???
I know that SE use the word "convert", but anyway...
ElGato HAS upgraded his T68m to R2b025(with a little help from a "used-car dealer").

Has anyone tried to flash a T68m with the new software???
