We pay lots of fees would that be for our national health service your country cant afford one cause of the wars you start on third world countrys. Your coverage around built up areas is appauling no one expects you to have coverage in the middle of a nowhere but somewhere would be a start. Youve made my point when you state that no one knows about it or cares about it thats cause youre countrys behind by a year or two. 3G isnt avalible anywhere in the states thats bullshit there testing down there but it isnt avalible to any one as no 3G licenses have been sold in the usa yet. The only diffrence 3G will make is a much faster connection time you wont see any thing you havent seen before apart from new fancy handsets with built in cameras. The media have hyped this up so much it really isnt that great. Just look at what 3G does and you will see what I mean. |

Funny, I recall visiting a Motorola factory, sending equipment to Europe from California to build up GSM networks over to Europe (This was about five to seven years ago). Also, if we are so poor, why do we own so many vehicles and large homes and with such variety to choose from? All I hear is how people in Europe hate America and whine about having so little (Even my cousins and friends).
Please, we don't hate you
Although, I agree that GSM may not be as top notch as in Europe, but that is mostly due to competitions with other cellular providers attempting to prove to the world that there "Technology" is better (Such as CDMA/TDMA, which is a huge competitor against GSM systems in North and South America), not to lack of funds.
As for your "Bullshit no 3G anywhere in the states", take a look for yourself smart ass:
http://www.sprintpcs.com/, and yes, it’s not GSM.
And your "In Europe we can buy are handsets from mobile stores that are scatterd every where.", we have mobile stores scattered all over as well, with a very large variety of phones to choose from, including GSM or CDMA phones. And no, they are not “Black market” phones, as you seem to think of them. You must think we live in the Middle Ages over here, but it’s really not that much different than in Europe.
Do a little research.
And please, spell check you’re writing, it got a little tedious trying to read your typing.

Hey guys, I live in the isle of man and well the network over here is so well "crap" it doesnt even support GPRS yet. I know several people that work at Manx Telecom it has all the 3G facilities and they have even tested them but they havent made it available to the public yet and as they have no compation they are unlikly to rush. They have only 3 tarrifs one pay and go one were you pay 35p peak and 20p off peak wich is realy exeopensive and they dont even offer pre-ppay roaming and contracts the cheapest line rental is £20 and you have to pay for call minder. Arggggg someone should get the main operaters over here. |
