Got my E700 today on T-Mobile from the link. It was free on the everyone 200 tariff. I have to say they were very good in the link, far better than phones4u were when I got my P800. So far I am very impressed with the phone, only probs so far is when sending contacts from my T68i to the E700. It does not like it if you have a pic in you contacts, the phone resarts its self, so just a warning to anyone who tries this. Other than that the pic quality and the build and features of the phone are top class. As for battery life and so on, I will have to wait and see, as there is only one battery supplied with the phone, whether samsung have got their batteries to last longer or not I will soon find out. Only thing I need is a cable to download pics and stuff, anyone know if the cable is the same as the one used with the T100 as there is a few of these for sale on ebay, genuine samsung ones.

For some reason when I use I/r to send stuff, if it includes a picture the phone restarts.

Royalty I think it is because I was transfering my phonebook from my T68i and it had some pics I had attached to some of the numbers, as far as I am aware they are not in a formate it recognises so it resets. Not sure if this is the reason, but if I transfere the numbers individualy they work fine if I have removed the pics.

Can you confirm that when you receive an MMS the phone doesn't show the name of the person (from the phone book) and just the phone number? Does this also apply to SMS's?

Thanks.

Sent and received MMS's do not display a name, only the number that you sent it to.

The SMS's do display a name.

Thanks Triforce. Do you know if it's also true that you can't send SMS messages bigger than 160 characters? Seems like they've missed out on a lot of the basic features.

You can only use 160 characters per sms but the E700 does let you send long SMS's of up to 12 pages.

it really boils down to the individual.

Samsung's E700 has the best cam of the upcoming new releases as the pictures have shown. Everything else is standard fare if you're a regular Samsung user.

S.E.'s Z600 has a better interface (customizable) and sms engine (MPO) but loses out in terms of cam quality.

Both have very good clamshell designs.
