Yes, I do have the expensive insurance with Netcom but calling it "idiot-insurance" is a but ott when they offer the service I've had today. Offcourse I called the phone up before shutting it down. Do you think I'm stupid? Eh... Don't answer that...

A bit of topic here: i got a T610 in France and they were trying to sell me an insurance...talking about `dishonest people`.It was about 10euro/month, it was written there that the phone will be covered against all bad things....took the flyer home and read in SMALL letters, somewhere at the middle of the page...the back-page: `In case of stolen phone` they will pay u back ONLY if u were hurt in the middle of the heist!!! So i got mugged and the thief smashed my head , i will need a new f@cking phone, otherwise not, cuz maybe, just maybe I stole my own phone...idiots. No physical damage, no need for a new phone..just work there buddy, and get urself a new one They make me sick and i won`t get an insurance for my phone..it`s wasted money!!!
PS: How much do u pay mothly for ur full insurance?

@tranquil: That's not what I meant, I called it "idioot-insurrance" because, no matter how stupid you are when losing or destroying your phone, they always help you out! (oh and by the way, I have it to )

I had my wallet stolen in Monmartre (behind Sacre Coeur where the artists are) last summer. First time I ever had anything stolen like that in my life and I was totally gutted.
What made it worse was that on my way to the police station to fill out the forms someone tried to nick my T68i from my belt pouch on the metro! I was ready to punch out his lights but played it safe in case he had a friend nearby in case of trouble.

@snw Sorry mate, now I got it... I am a bit slow these days. Yes, it covers basically any- and everything. A friend of mine dropped her phone in the bucket whilst washing the floor. She told the truth and had a new phone within an hour. The insurance is not too costly if you consider what you get if you do have bad luck one day. I think it is round about 5€ per month. Money well spent if you ask me!

Horrible thing to happen, sorry to hear it,& the fact that its not a usable phone once its blocked makes the crime even more pointless.
On the suubject of the P800 being discontinued in UK. i have NEVER heard of a phone having such a short production run, the idea that a lost phone will be replaced with a newer model (p900) is not normal behaviour, i can understand the p800 coming off the shelves as the P900 comes along but its not here yet is it. stopping production seems a bit unbeleivable to me.

yeah.. and transfer that phone to another network thats not cooperating with your home network on blacklist theme..
voila phone is usable again..
the wisest thing is not to lock that phone, i mean by imei..
then there is a little chance mobile service provider can track it down..
