There are 20 posts per page so 19 replies on the first page and mine is the first on the next page. Or, just count them again

Oops, I take it all back! I was looking at the "start=" section of the URL, but it looks like "start=20" equates to show everything after post 20. (either that or it starts from 0, probably more likely)

no, the start number is the reply start number... which is why start=20 showed mine first. Start=0 is the initiating message in the post and start=1 is the first reply.
all sorted now though it seems!
