yeah it would be nice to have a way to close it like most pop up ads, or be able to drag it out of the way

Well I am glad you knew that vlam but it was more of a general comment, not one directed at you, as it took me by surprise when I saw it in German.
I remembered afterwards though that google searches tried to show me german results too when I perform searches here but I have google configured to show me results in English only now.
Not that I am really interested in the ads but I wonder if that is configurable too?

While I see your humour, could you not have tried that on a garbage thread, where it belongs, or on the current Vermania thread?

huh? people seem very fragile on here at the moment. There was nothing harsh in that I was just making the point that it was a general comment as you appeared to answer it as though I was talking to you personally, maybe because my post followed yours... I dunno why but there was no malice intended. If there was I would not be so subtle about it!
and actually when writing that post that you quoted that was a mere passing comment anyway... I was more hoping someone would answer the question regarding making google ads use the language of my choice, not the language of the country I was in.
Without wishing to sound like someone else on here... I am truly sorry if my post offended although I am sure if you know me by now that is never my intent!

I've been told google responds to your location.... and selects a language based on that. How true this is and how to change it I really don't know.
