The transfer is not the problem. I use bluetooth which works more than perfect.

To be sure that everything works I just slightly changed a working theme. So I'm sure that all the pix n'stuff should be fine. It has to do with the .tar-thingy.

thx anyway

@BOSSHOGG

You may want to try MacTar (http://www.strout.net/macsoft/mactar/) for your .tar creation needs!

@jools it's the same situation as before, i can't get a www connection, but can access my email over Gprs. Would you be the next kind person and email that tar program to the same address please?

Cheers mate, unfortunately c beam doesn't seen to want to send anything other than images or polys to my phone. It tries to send the theme/imy but the phone won't give me an accept message. I sent a theme from my phone, extracted edited and tar'd it. Still won't go, even if i try to send it untouched it won't go back on the phone. Thanks again tho :-)

I tried to place C Beam into the resources page, but nothing happens! I did it about 1 month ago? I donīt know why they (moderators? Laffen?) donīt want link for this piece of masterwork!!!

Yeah, and that other ir gsm network thing allows you to type up and send sms without touching your phone. Both of these are gems. Right, jools can you tell me exactly what to do with the folder of a theme in mactar? Here's another question, what is the file and creator type signatures for themes, Mophun games and imy files, all of these are text and .ttxt on my mac, if i changed them using file buddy, i think my phone would accept them.

I managed to edit a theme on my Mac.

After converting to .tar I used FileTyper to make it the same file type as an existing theme and it all seems to work

You can have a look and download it here

oh, very nice idea! I'm so stupid that I forgot to try this. Soon as I'm back from my vacation, I'll try it out.

Thank you very much.

cheers

Try PhoneAgent. That has a Mac theme editor built-in and is alot simpler than the steps in this thread.
