Please, don't share these games. Their makers have invested a lot of time and work on them.
I just ask for a little respect, as many of them are forum users. |

Thats exactly why they should be shared, surely you want as many people as possible to use them. You dont expect people to buy them do you?.

Deep abyss has 15 levels.. too short and easy to finish. I also have synergix rally. I'm impressed with how many frames it's able to play, but I think a couple more sounds such as engine sound could have been added to make it a bit more real. But a good game noone the less... |

I tried to download gamepack for the T610, but when I tried to open the file I was asked what I wanted to open it with! I know next to nothing about computers and tried to open it with acrobat reader which I guess was wrong as a message came up saying the file did not exist!! Can anyone help please? |

You need a program that can open WinRAR archive files. Goto www.download.com you should be able to find one there.

| Yes, I do expect to get paid for people using my game... Am I strange man for thinking that? That you are doing is a weird way for aiming developers to produce better games...
If I wanted to create a game for public distribution, I would use JAVA and not Mophun.

I agree with Wild nomad to a certain extint.....it is not good to take a game and not pay for it. This is why there are demo's, which I think every game should have. If a game does not have a demo I would hate to pay for it and it be a waste of my money.
As long as games stay reasonably priced there should not be a problem with piracy (except for the few that pirate no matter what). I would hate to see prices of mpn games inflate like games for consoles have. on a side note yes a mod does need to erase that link. who honestly doesn't have 5 bucks to put down for a game. If you are unsure about the game find the demo first....or ask around or read up!!!!

I dont think its fair that mophun suppliers have you download the game to the phone and not let you have access to a backup incase you have to reset the phone at anytime. Last game I ordered was from http://www.mophungames.com/eng/ and the link that was sent to the phone didnt even work $5 for f*** all, that isnt fair either.

Funny thing is Java is crippled.
Its slow as hell, and there are no access to sockets, ir or bluetooth.
More than half of these games are complete wank, and would have come out as freeware if mophun was open to all. Hell i programmed more advanced stuff for fun on my c64 when i was 10.
Mophun is NOphun
: )

Java is crippled?? That's a pretty bold statement. You are just refering to J2ME right?
If Java is slow, it is poorly coded. MIDP 1.0 didn't have access to sockets. Version 2 does.
You have to remember that Java was created as more of an open community programming language. Everyone will try their hand at it. Also, java on mobile devices has been around longer than the colour screen on a mobile device, which is why most of the games you will find are crap. I have seen some fantastic J2ME games...Just not directly for a T610 yet :P Give it time I reckon.
Also, Java wouldn't seem so 'crippled' if it wasn't for the big phone companies changing the VM's to suit their phones. Java is meant to be platform independant, which means I can write a game on my PC and run it on any phone. This is still possible, but people make a point of using the Nokia based classes for example, so their software will only run on Nokias. Kinda defeats the purpose if you ask me.
