Well at worst I reckon I got a good mug and a t-shirt I can laze around in for very little. Dunno if I would wear it out much but actually my wife tends to get the t-shirts I don't like to wear. So if I earn brownie points that way it can't be bad either!

Just re read this thread!
Masseur - Yes, I wear Nike apparel and Calvin klien wear too - As you know I am a very image concious person but wearing these designer labels add to that image somewhat!
Basically it is considered cool to wear Nike, CK, Versace and the likes.
Wearing a Sony ericsson or a Nokia top, dosent portray the right image in this respect and kinda be considered geekish (by the majority of folk)!
Its a matter of what people consider what the norm (accepted thing) and what isnt!
As much as I like the look of the T610 - I wouldnt walk around with a teeshirt that says "I love my T610" or "Sony Ericsson"!
unless of course I'm working in the Garden or going to bed and my Pyjamas are in the wash! - lol (oh yeah, if I work for Sony then yes, bring it on)
Its all a matter of opinion BUT, if I was given the stuff for free id fine some way to make use of it without bringing too much embarrasment to myself.
So in a round about way im saying - I WOULDNT PAY FOR THAT!!!
ALTHOUGH!!!
I'm not squeaky clean when it comes to Designer labels, I have had my embarrasing moments - funnily enough it involved Sony!
remember when the Sony Playstation was all the rage - well I bought a matching set of Sony Playstation Tee shirts for me and my girlfriend at the time ! - his and hers - Sad eh (and we actually wore them - together!!!)

That is the ideal attitude Vaj,
but we r are mainly a society of conformists and I unfortuantely/shamelesley fit that category!!!
Calvin klien = In
Sony Ericcson club teeshirt - Out
My opinion = just an opinion.

So... just a question because I am curious: when you spot somebody walking in a shirt (or an esato shirt or a Heineken shirt or whatever).... do you REALLY immediately think: 'There's another poor sod/geek/idiot//fashion-ignorant/you-name-it'?
And why?

@ Vaj
Me, personally no.
However there would of been a time I would of chuckled to myself and thought poor sod. I think age has brought a little more wisdom in that respect, that same guy weaing the Heiniken, Estato or Sony shirt may look a prat in his clothes but just you look at the car he drives or the house he lives in. I have been many a time pleasantly suprised. Some people place more importance on considerably lager purchases, I myself due to my modest income sadly place the empahasis on the little things such as clothes/phones/latest games console!!!
And because I place such importance on such things I try and get the latest/most stylish(socially) my income can afford.
Hope that gives u some insight into the world of BonC.
