I do update Esato every day. It's not always visible to the end users, but running such a large site is quite time demanding. New stuff are added monthly. Polyphonic tones, videos, and soon to come: games.
@ppcrockar
Without the ringtones, logos etc there would not be a Esato. This is where the money comes in.
P800 owners can surf Esato-light here: http://mobile.esato.com/

@laffen
Ha! Maybe you should make a 'league page' with most posted users at the top, with a colum showing another avatar, but for how much has been donated by each user!! Might encourage users to donate.... probably would me...

__spc__, not sure if I fully understood but there is already a page for forum top 20 (at the top of the page near bookmarks and new messages etc). This includes your suggestion of most posted users.
In regards to donations, there is also the Esato donors page, again at the top of each page, but even though I donated some months back, and queried laffen without reply from him, this page no longer seems to be updated.
When I got no reply from laffen I just assumed donations were no longer required.

I think it's safe to say that donations will always be welcome
Anyway, laffen and all of Team Esato: i think you're doing a great job! There is no place like Esato.

@masseur
I'm aware of the pages you refer to - my suggestion was to reveal (?) the disparity between posters vs donors in a single page . Surely, presupposing all Esato visitors are filty-rich, those that use the forum most should in theory be the bigger donors; I just thought it might be interesting to see a 'league table' based on a posts:donations ratio!

ok sorry for my misunderstanding but I actually don't agree. I donate to most forums I go to but I don't believe that people who use the forums most should donate most. Some people who come here alot do it largely to help others and be in a social environment while others just come here for answers. Does that mean that the major helpers should pay more? I have to disagree.
I donate something to most forums I belong to and am happy that I then get a simple symbol next to my name that shows I am a supporter. I was a little dissapointed to not be recognised in this way when I donated to Esato.

You're absolutely right, masseur! But you are in the donors list, aren't you?

nah. masseur does not appear in the donors list. Its really no big deal as I only donated a small amount as a starter to see how it worked on esato before going ahead and donating more. There wasn't even an automated thankyou message. just made me feel why bother? apart from the fact its been a very helpful and general friendly forum.

@masseur, @MaThIbUs
Fair point I suppose. However, I would say in my (weak) defence that whatever the reason you do come to Esato for, it *is* a service that's provided gratis, and one that you use for your own purpose -be it social discourse, or to receive or provide advice...and should probably therefore support it...
Mind you, I guess it's the same issue with free/shareware...
(I might add, I've *not donated to Esato...yet)
