Last friday a mailed a question to SonyEricsson, and today the called me.
My Question:
Will the SonyEricsson Z1010 be the first Sonyericsson clamshell model?
Answer:
No, there are a lot SonyEricsson clamshell models already out in Asia.
My second Question:
Oke, Will the SonyEricsson Z1010 be the first SonyEricsson clamshell model in Europe?
Answer:
Yes!
So, the rumours of the Z600/Z610 are all fake
The person who said this is the Communication Manager of SonyEricsson BeNeLux, so this is the most reliable source there can be

The one on mobile-reviews site is the one i played around with a week ago. It's one of the clamshells that will be announced in september, it's really sweet IRL, not as bulky as one may think looking at the pic. |

well, I still dont know where the Z100, Z200, Z300, Z400, Z500, Z600, Z700, Z800 and Z900 rumors came from
but u know what? I heard from a reliable source who so happens to b the woman who sleeps with the CEO of SE that the R1010i is coming out
it shld hv the toaster app in it, 3G, UMTS, GSM and CDMA!
a 5MP camera on the front and back for video conferencing
it also has the ability to teleport u! a 32bit screen, it catches satellite TV, 1GB magic gate stick
I asked them y the name and they said "R for Rumor and i for Idiots"

I spoke to the Communication Manager SonyEricsson BeNeLux this morning. (Harold de Kort)
And because you can`t ask him: "Are the rumours about a Z600/Z610 true?" I asked it in a nother way: "Will the SonyEricsson Z1010 be the first SonyEricsson clamshell model in Europe?"
Answer: "Yes"
That means: There won`t be a Z610/Z600

maybe the "z610" will come out after the z1010, seems reasonable, the t610 is still relatively new, so i wouldnt write off the mythical clamshell yet!

i personally believes that there's won't be another new phones coming out other than Z1010 which is SE's very first 3G mobile phone.

You are spot on, will never make another phone other than the one they have released details of. The designers, technicians and marketing guys are all just sitting around at HQ, waiting for the Z1010 to pay their bills and put food in their kids mouths for the next year or two. |

Interesting to read this post again since the phone is true. In-fact SE didn't release 1, but 2 clamshell phones.
