for the p810/p900 can't SE just slightly modify (add some color, write a new camera thing) the exsisting software?
the rest could stay the same, sinse it is basicly the same phone.

And perhaps a phone that don't weigh as much as the P800

Where did you get this information from?
Does the P810/P900 really have less weight than the P800??
Remember the P810/P900 will have a full metal case!

You can't chase technology, all you need to ask yourself, Is P800 satisfy all the functions that you're looking for. If yes, go ahead and spent the hard earn money and then maximize the utility by using your P800. Nobody can predict what come next. I start with HP200Lx,Psion3c, Palm V, Palm 505, O2 Xda and finally P800. Each time, I enjoy the functions/utilitites provided by the gadgets at that period but after sometime, new things come from the horizon and the itch starts all over again...

I'm in similar position to decide to buy T68i and wait for P810/P900 or buy P800 now since I have no mobile phone at all. The only thing I worry about is large vulnerable P800 screen (P810/P900 is supposed to have more protective flip according to photos on net). I have no SE service in my area (Baltic States probably is the only region in Europe for SE to ignore). The prices consequently are still around EUR 900. The best price I can get here is EUR 700, but that practically means no warranty.

If only the 810 was real, as noted by SE themselves. "We do not carry this model, nor have we heard of it". However there was a shipment of dummy phones that was stolen from SE at an airport in London I think, maybe this was a proposed prototype hmmm?
