I don't think i can adjust Half/full duplex in my Bios... But yes, it is the Onboard IrDA on a Asus P4PE board....

But what i don't get, is that it worked for a few minutes yesterday...

What about Phone Monitor Options ?

Under "Com Ports" there is a new Com3 port, it cames after the damn thing had worked a couple of minutes....
Is there any settings in Phone Monitor, I need to be aware of ?

Go into your BIOS, select com 3 transfer type (i think) and change it to half. 99.9% of all onboard IRDA mobos have the ability to change the duplex mode.

To answer the question about duplex mode (laymens terms):
full duplex=both devices communicate at the same time (like a telephone does)
half duplex=devices take it in turn to communicate (like CB radios)

Basic IR devices simply dont have the ability to communicate at full duplex so the computer is waiting for instructions that the device isn't ever going to send.
