Sunday Hong Kong (www.sunday.com) also offers unlimited GRPS data for only HK$38 (= US$4.87).

Sunday GPRS plan

Too bad I am a Orange Hong Kong user, I paid HK$3xx last month for GPRS data.

Well you could go to T-bag mobile UK and get the £10 per month for 100MB GPRS (WEB & WAP, they don't distingish between them).

Network sucks arse though, shame Orange won't OVP it or O2 won't copy it

In Nov legislation comes in to effect in the US that allows people to take their numbers with them if they change service provider. If Cingular haven't improved their GPRS deals by then I'll probably take my number and move to T-Mobile.

Regarding getting decent phones here in the US, the situation has improved greatly, but even now not all phones have 1900MHz support, which is required for operation here.

For the P800 since it works on T Zones and doesnt necessarily need the full GPRS internet couldnt you get the unlimited Tzones Pro for 10$ per month instead of the $20 a month? I have Tzones Pro right now (not unlimited yet as this is news to me) and can use the full internet. Just a question...

You can't get the unlimited T-Zones, because they only offer that for those stupid "Sidekick" gizmos...

They are very adament about it. Those unlimited T-Zones are for their supped up pagers only (unfortunately). They did have unlimited data (not T-Zones) for some really high amount (like around $90 + a month), but they still wouldn't give you that, because they said that was for notebook users with their T-Mobile network cards only...

So, at last, they have something for the smartphone users, which they were lacking. All I can say is, thanks Handspring, for selling through T-Mobile and forcing them to accept that there are phone users out there that need more then 1 or 2MB of data per month

No they dont....Ive been using TZP for a while now with no extra charges. Although as can be seen above apparently they dont LET you get unlimited TZP.

The way T-Mobile's system is configured now you lose nothing. You will use the wap.voicestream.com access point instead of the internet2.voicestream.com access point. In theory, the wap access point should be for WAP browsing only, but T-Mobile has it setup so you can use either a PDA or computer to browse HTML websites.

I have found the speeds to be comparable (read equal) between the two access points. If you need virtual private network access, you will have to get the $19.99 plan and use the internet3 access point.
