does the technique work with O+? How come it manage to hold on to its stickiness even after being soaked?
and lordmike l cant believe you have a unprotected screen! and the screen protectors use a good adhiesve that leaves no trace like those easy peel stickers. Dude dont risk it protect the scren.. |

I know I am crazy... but hey I don't like shopping over the net. And especially not from non swedish sites. Though I always got the flip, so it's kinda safe. But yeah.. need to get protection soon... Just need to find a protection which is the greatest or something.

You biatch  Sure I will place an order as soon as I get my salary. Which is next week. Just haven't needed one yet. Though my guess is that once I get it my phone will be in accident after accident. Making me feel relieved that I bought the screen protection.

I got my (now heavily fingerprinted) screen from DOML (which is the same as P800er.com). Ordered last Thursday and arrived today by recorded delivery - you can't argue with that. (Well you can, but the postman gets a bit miffed). |

Got mah mfop today. Ordered 3 days ago... Anyways, applying the mfop on the P800 with NO dust, smudges, and fingerprints is like creating cold fusion! Finally got it on with as minimum guck as possible. I must say that I can use the handwriting MUCH better now. Before, I was always cautious to NOT press too hard to avoid scratching the display.
Also another benefit, using the P800 in the Flip Removed mode is much more viable. Again, without a screen protector, I worried too much about damaging the screen.
Now I'm waiting on the vaja cases to be in stock because I like using the flip removed mode. Although... the mfop gets dirty ALL the time! I'm polishing my display just as much as before sans mfop, but at least I'm not gonna scratch it!

I had a prob with the barando at first. No matter what I did, dust was caught underneath. I then tried this.. And it is the best protector with no dust.
Take the protector off, and wash it both sides with normal hand soap. Then rinse it with water. and hold it by the edges. Shake exess water off but not all. then with some droplets on the sticky part of the brand place the brando on the screen of p800. Make sure the p800 screen was washed and dried with an eyeglass cleaner. once protector is on the p800 you will notice that there is still water under the brando. Take a dry cloth and smooth it over the screen, making sure that all water is soaked up into the cloth at the edges.
I did this and not one spec of dust is visible... But it is risky, dont get water into the unit..

Blimey, this screen clean stuff is seriously harder than washing a car!!!
Is it advisable to clean the actual screen with window cleaner??? Or will this damage the screen?
Im gonna try that soap and water business 2nite - please keep your fingers crossed for me n my phone |

I finally got it on there and managed to get rid of all the dust spots and bubbles, but not before I put a big scratch on the screen protector. Still, at least my screen is protected until I can get another one shipped over from DOML...  |

Dude don't do that! Anything with ammonia or alcohol will seriously damage an lcd - especially a touch screen...
Go out to a shop and grab a non-alcohol based screen cleaner, something that says 'for LCD screens.'
Better yet, just use a mildly damp cloth (water) and then dry it with a chamois - the kind you use for eyeglasses. |

Phew, cheers for the advice dude.
Ive just cleaned the protector with water and selotape. It worked brilliantly. And strangely it was an absolute singe to put the protector back on - no air bubbles, fluff nothing 
Guys, Id strongly suggest using selotape to get all the fluff off the back of the protector. |

Yep, sellotape worked for me as well. I did not wash it as it just didn't seem right to do so...
I'd suggest the following to anyone fixing a screen protector to their P800:
1. Wash your hands thoroughly - a bit of skin or hair can easily fall off and stick to the screen or the protector during application
2. Apply a bit of tape to the sticky side of the protector - you can then stick the other end to your hand, meaning you don't have to try to hold the protector by its edges - this is how I screwed mine up in the first place as it flipped and touched my hand, picking up hair, skin etc...
I would recommend the Martin Fields ones at P800er/DOML - there is only a very slight dulling/blurring of the screen and it certainly feels better under the stylus. I can now play solitaire with a previously unseen ferocity! |
