according to Scan "This product does not support native TCP/IP features" - which I interpret means you can use it for internet connection sharing - anyone confirm or deny this ?

No, it isn't possible to use bluetooth for a wireless network. Bluetooth is mainly used to create PANs (personal area networks) while a network, is a LAN (local area network)
However, if it is just for the occasional transfering of files, bluetooth can be used for that, but it is a temporary network. I find it useful for transfering files from my mac to my pc and vice versa, (cos its easier than making a pc talk to a mac!)
@everyone else
oh.. i use the belkin bluetooth adaptor, really good actually, but too expensive to buy in the UK, i got mine in NYC, and it cos £35!!

It is possible. Some how you need to run either win2000 or winXP in both computers. I have had tried many times on WinME, never seem to get it working
My notebook WinXP hooked up with ADSL Modem and MSI dongle (Acts as Host and Internet gateway).
A second notebook WinXP come with MSI dongle able to piggyback on the first notebook for wireless broadband internet connection |

Internet Connection sharingwas meant to share access for 2 or more devices. Purchasing an access point ADSL modem just to connect to single notebook would be an overkilled solution, unless one likes to surf around his premises. Then again notebook is not that mobile, one need to hook up with power supply at all times. |

Has anyone found a BT dongle that supports Bluetooth Imaging Profile (BIP)?
I bought a DSC-FX77 BT camera nine months ago, and my T610 is the only thing that will communicate with it as nothing else I have seems to support this profile. |

on a related topic - has anyone ever managed to use a BT headset in conjunction with a BT dongle?
I read somewhere that its possible if your dongle has the CSR chipset or something http://www.holtmann.org/linux/bluetooth/features.html and if u use Acer CSR software (which I haven't been able to find)...
