sadly it looks like no-one is planning to refresh sync apps until after OL2003 is GA 
IntelliSync, PumaTech, fusionOne etc are all waiting for it to go GA with updates due in the late Q4 2003 timeframe

Turning off cached Exchange mode in Outlook DOES work. Cool!

Unfortunately I prefer having Cached Exchange mode than syncing with my T68i. I hope it is fixed in the final release. Thanks for the help. |

Hi all,
I am having the same trouble so I read every related thread and found this as the only one with any action that may help. Anyway I switched off the cached exchange option and still get the GetModified error. The build I am using is 11.5329.5329. Anyone have any new info?

This is my setup:
Hardware - IBM t40p (sync with internal bluetooth)
OS - Windows XP Pro SP1
MS Software - Office 2003 Beta 2 Tech Refresh
SE Software - Sony Ericsson Communication Suite 1.5.7

All,
I just made it work!!!!!!! It was a long process, however this is what I did. I re-installed SE Communications Suite, upgraded my Bluetooth stack from IBM, and tried again (at this point it still did not work) so I gave up on Office 2003, uninstalled it, and re-installed OfficeXP. At this point I found out the offline/data storage files for Outlook are not backwards compatible - si I got worried. I then uninstalled OfficeXP and installed Office 2003 B2 Tech Referesh directly from those CDs (I had been progressivley upgrading) and now it works!

I too have experienced issues using XTNDConnect and Outlook 2003 Beta technincal Refresh 2. When trying to synchronize Calendar and tasks, I get the following error message;
Error in GetModifiedInfo.
Yesterday I upgraded to the official release of Office 2003 and now I am able to properly synchronize with no error messages. I guess Microsoft has addressed and corrected a number of issues because it now finally works and I am able to get my Outlook Calendar items on my T68i. |
