Hey Syd- What do you mean about a 4 mb version coming out? That would be really great, where did you get this info from?

If this 4mb T610-version really is true and existing, then SE has f**ked us all AGAIN!

Same scenario as when Ericsson released the T68 .. a few months later came the much better T68I ..

Sounds now like there will be a T610I ... pretty annoying!!!

Was the T68i really that much better than the T68 with software upgrade?

I only suggested T610i a while back as a joke. I am not sure anyone else has suggested the 4mb version would be called T610i!

@a3t
I actually wouldn't say that SE are doing anything wrong...
They have never ever promised anything more for the phone that what's in there NOW! If they do decide to update the phone in a major way (which I doubt), this should be considered a new phone... You have bought the phone which is on offer at the moment, and that's what you've received!

My guess is that there will be a lot of firmware updates though with various bug fixes, but do not expect any new features...

I just called www.clickontime.com , a swedish firm I've ordered t610 from...they said they had returned all their t610 and that they would be given a new date for new deliveries by SE next week....damn!

The t68i came out quite a while after the t68m. Part of the reason was to add mms functionality (although of course the firmware update added this too). The main reason however was so that the newly formed SonyEricsson could have a flagship phone with their new brand name all over it rather than the Ericsson branding - they were trying to promote their new identity at the time and releasing a "new" version with a few extra features was an easy way to get the new brandname into the public eye.

Take it easy, there is not a 4mb version coming out. It says on some papers that it has a total of 4mb. Well 2 of them goes to the OS and such.
