Unfortunately, this has all been talked to death before on mophun.com's forum ever since the T300 was released. Freeware is not mophun's "business model", and they will have to certify all games.
SE can release those free games because they're SE. I wish they would release more free games though. But instead we just see those games at the phone's release, then never again.

If protection wasn't needed, it wouldn't be there. Draw your own conclusions. Personally, I think my efforts are worth at least a couple dollars and I appreciate the protection. Fame never put dinner on my table. |

I had better opinion about mophun. Oh, well, then it's worth to crack their defence. That's what we are doing here in Russia at this moment. Software must be freeware if the person who developed it want it to be free!

I got arround to get it freeware.
Here is the trick.
I will get Pong certified and released.
In the code, if i don't sign it with you IMEI, you will be switched to demo mode.
And watch this : the demo mode and the full mode will be the same.
So all I need is to get the game certified.
You will be in demo mode, but without any limitations as far as the game is concerned.
I should be finishing up all graphics and stuff today, and send the game to certification tomorrow.

Nice  , pretty smart. But we are still working with the crack... Is there some kind of decompiler for mophun games?

As far as I know, there is no decompiler.

Sure. For now we have some C++ specialists that are looking on this games. Probably we will need to download the developers kit. To bad I know C++ only a little. But I think it is possible to change IMEI theoretically. Ok, time will show. I don't think that mophun defense is more difficult to brake than DVDs. The only problem is that we don't have such specialists like Sklyarov nearby...

I guess every protection/encryption scheme ... it's only a matter of time until it get's cracked.
I was tweaking the ideea to develop a sandbox(something like an emulator program and get it certified on phones) .. then people could write free code to run on top of my virtual CPU.
I don't know how fast will it run ...

Hi,
I have been off work for a few days.
I sold my computer and got a laptop instead and I had to move everything.
It's so cool to use my computer everywhere ... and I connect to the Internet with my T300 ... using IR
Pong is finished ... awaiting certification ... the movie player is under development.
I will post some stuff on our website soon.
Gotta go .... my batteries are at 8%
