420 Euro in norway, $418 in the USA. Gray market prices should be in the $390 range. =) |

If T610 is above $400, it is getting closer to P800 territory. I now see P800's being sold for $490's at Ebay.
I'll get T610 only if price is $300-$350 range. |

Hee, I'll buy T610 in HK, ASAP.... can't wait for that T618, ya know, T610 in HK is much cheaper what's more, T610 will be on market much earlier than T610, I think 1-2 month at least.

randomix, u mean in hk, it's called T618 instead of T610 ?
i got abit confused, as i saw on newspapers before in march or sth, that T618 is for chinese market, and T610 is for europe, but then, from the sony ericsson roadshow, or even if u preorder from the causeway bay sony ericsson shop, it's still called T610, so how is that different ?
users here and on other msg board have said that T610 can type in and view chinese characters like T68i, i know with sony z28, users can type in puyin(mandarin) or strokes, is that the same for T610, does anyone know ?
i also read some time before that there is a P800 and P802(on chinese market) but so far it isnt out yet (i mean P802), so that means it will be or what ?
anyone know or have heard anything about these ?
thank you |

Hi, michelle318
I make a mistake!
"T610 will be on market much earlier than T610" is a mistype, I mean T610 will be on market much earlier than T618.
T618 is the mode for ONLY mainland China, T610 is For Europe, Asia (including HK) and some other places. And there're many different language editions s/w for T610, of course Traditional Chinese Edition is one of them. U can input Traditional Chinese characters by Stroke and Pinyin(Madarine? or maybe others) on T610 Chiense edtion.
And as I know, P802 is the Chinese mode for Mainland China too and it's availeble all over China. Different language editions are also appear on P800 (like Traditional Chinese, English, Spainish...)

Current SE phones all have Unicode support (following Nokia's lead...) so even if your phone isn't the Chinese specific version, it most likely will still be able to display Chinese. Just can't input Chinese directly from the keypad.

randomix, so u r saying, even if i get the T610, i can still key in chinese (strokes or puyin) ?
coz im not in hk, but my friend has helped me paid the $100 pre-order deposit at sony ericsson causeway bay, so i would hope to get more details since i wont find much t610 details in sydney ... it is always so slow and expensive with technology ...
i just wonder how T618 is different from T610, in terms of the hardware bit and functions.
u said it's different in terms of software, can explain a little bit more on that ? do u mean the software used for the pc/mobile phone, or u mean the software inside the mobile phone
thx ...
