P800 is *almost* as good as MCA-25.
As for the other point of "same resolution should have same picture quality", not at all!!!
So what if the resolution is the same? What it boils down to is not how many pixels get stored, but how the camera captures the image. Everything from color correctness to focal sharpness has little to do with resolution and all to do with the quality of the camera.
In this regard, the 7650 SUCKS. Just look at the many side-by-side comparisons done here at esato. |

I agree w Rashkae -its the capture that differentiates. From the very lens used already makes a big diff. The mca25 for example uses real glass as lens not plastic (big diff) like the generic mca err x sumthing
