Guys I did some digging around to verify the truth of the pdf and from what I found it should be legit so thanks much apaman..!

Basically I just fingered the address provided for the pdf from www.samspade.org. Below is my result.. those of you who know how to read all the info will be better able to decipher all that.. but seems to me from my limited knowledge that its legit

interesting... that picture says that t68i was manufactured week 47 2001..... that just about a month after the original t68m was released

Why should anyone be surprised that the T68i was in development so long ago (probably before the T68m even started shipping)?

Sony Ericsson already existed then so it would have been a priority to get working on rebranding the product range. They couldn't exactly hold off the launch, or recase the phones already built but not yet shipping.

If you knew how long phones were in development, I would expect the replacement to the T68 (more colours, higher resolution screen, faster processor, JAVA etc.) to be well beyond the basic development stage already.

Even when Nokia "rushed" the 7210, they would have obviously had lots of prototype models to work from.

Samsung seem to have so much money that they're rumoured to be building THREE smart phones, one using Symbian, another using Stinger and the last one Linux! Think of the development costs when two will be scrapped and never make the light of day..
