You guys are ridiculous. 2MB is MORE THAN ENOUGH for pictures and a couple Java games. The T610 IS NOT AN MP3 PLAYER!!! Get to grips with it, people! Why on earth would SE put a memory-stick expansion into it's mid-range phone? It does not want the T610 to compete with the P800, and the mem-stick slot would make the phone look like crap and a lot thicker.
The T610 is meant to go against these phones: 6100, 6610, 7210, 7250.
Now which of those actually can compete with the T610? NONE!!! Sure, the 7250 has 5MB on board, but LOUSY polyphonics, only a 4k screen, a SMALLER screen, no BT, crippled IR and that's just the basics!!! |

U R TALKIN OUT UR ASS the 7250 is one of the most finely designed phones of all time it looks great. Better than a 99% of all previous nokias and better than any SE. Dont say t610 cos it wont look that good after a month of use, at least u can replace the covers with a 7250. |

@ gemini
I don't agree with you. The 7250 looks like a toy when compared to the stylish professional and clean look of the T610. |

yes the cover of the t610 is not changeable so when it gets a scratch or dent then you just have to live with it or go to a SE service center and buy a new and expensive one.
if you don't have something nice to say, don't say something nice. FUEHRER MEANS "LEADER" IN GERMAN STUPID. |

The T610 cover isn't "changeable". But the T68 covers isn't "changeable" either, still quite a lot of people have changed their T68 covers, so it will probably be possible even if it requires taking the phone apart. Just get a new cover if it gets scratched it's not that hard to change it. (sure you might loose warranty though).
The upside of not having changeable covers is that the phone feels much more solid. |

Im sorry but when you get a scratch right across the centre of your screen after dropping your phone, not only will you have to change the damaged cover but the screen as well. However with a 7250 just switch em round and your fine again. Also about build quality, all ericssons after time get squeaky and loose. Everyone hold your t68i in your hand now wiggle the bit above the battery up and down, not very solid. Oh and for those unlucky people wiggle your battery up and down! With a nokia switch the covers and the phone is made quite solid again. ericssons are made of plastic just like an xpress on, maybe thicker but still prone to the same flaws as any piece of plastic out there. And the aluminium on the t610.... what a bad move. Yeh may look good but anyone ever own an 8850 or 8890? the dents and scratches they would pick up were hefty to say the least. Everyone who gets a t610 will care just as much about the look of the phone as much as what it does. The only main addition really is the camera so most people will be buying it for the looks. Its not going to look flash for too long when it starts to pick up those knocks and bumps! |

So what if the covers get damaged???
You can always go to an SE service point and ask them to change the covers! I did this with T39 after 2 years of operation. And since I do have both T39 and T68 I am very satisfied by their superior quality plastics and their fit.
As for the possibility of squeaks... well come on guys, we are not talking about cars... it's only mobiles!
Can't wait for the new T610, and I am not at all worried with the memory issue. I don't use ringtones, crappy java apps, and games. Personally I do find the 2 MB mem more than enough for storing a few MMS and have a dozen of caller ID photos.
For those not satisfied wait for the ultimate phone.... Z1010 |

what are you talking about!? the ultimate phone!? Its out too early to be an ultimate phone! By the time 3G becomes widespread Nokia will have churned out about 6 new models with their shittest one wiping the floor with the z1010. SE will have to bring out a new model if they are going to even sell 1 |
