yeh sorry, but found this within a few days of owning my p800. I bet loads of people have just searched through their files using filemanager. Sorry mate, but hey..
And about changing the startup and shutdown mp4's, be very careful, i've seen a thread about this, just make sure you dont use an mp4 with sound or something like that, can;t remember where this thread is though, probably over at my-symbian... |

Sorry bud, those aren't the original startup & shutdown mp4's at all - those are the R1D ones we've all had for AGES!!!!!! 
The 'original' ones that no one can find, yourself included, are the R1A ones. |

Simon, what do u mean by they are not original?
I got them off my p800, is that not original? U mean R2D is different, cause my phone version is R2D, and i got the .mp4 files of the R2D firware...
Please explain, curious... |

The 'original' (as in original = first available, not more recent revisions) mp4's that people were asking for here were the R1A ones, NOT the R1D (and R2D is same as R1D) ones which everyone already has! The first day i got my P800, i pulled off those mp4's, that's nothing new! What people wanted were the first ever startup/shutdown anims so they could do the c:/sysdata trick i documented here and at the two symbian forums a couple of months ago to change their startup & shutdown scenes.
And therefore, your continued statements such as "No one was able to copy the original screensaver and the .MP4 files ! P800 Really Rules.Com Did IT !" seem a little amusing, no offense meant!

Ohhh... now i understand, when i bought mine P800 i had a different version, and not the R1, so i am sorry, thought they were asking about the .mp4 files which are stored in R2A and R2D
Sorry for this, a little misunderstanding 
As i read the posts here, i think i have been a little bit excited what i discovered, did not know some people already pulled this...

No problem! All we need is to find someone with a REALLY early P800; probably only a testing unit would have firmware that early- the first official public release firmware in the UK was R1D, I don't know about everywhere else in the world. Problem is, the people with such units are the ones most likely to take every upgrade going as soon as they are released, so the number of R1A phones out there must be tiny.
But if anyone does find one - you know what to do; get filemanager on there and pull the mp4's immediately!! [:)] |

Yes that would be nice, but as u said there arent many people that have the early version anymore...
Now i am really curios about the post 'R2F'
As i believe R2F is not released yet, and is he talking about nothing?

should i accidentally run that disk corrupt app (?) using file manager what's gonna happen to the p800? ive got a problem after getting my p800 flashed to r2d... a couple of third party apps never got removed during the process, thus they got stuck within the sw.. now i cant uninstall the darned things. its eaten a chunk out of my phone memory. tried master reset 3 times already.. didnt work. wuz thinking of corrupting the C drive then doin a master reset.. might work but i dont know if it's safe to do so.. please help.

Hello Nookie,
Yes it is safe to run, CorruptDiskUI, but nothing will happen, your p800 wont get corrupted, it just generates the sceen thtat tells u that the p800 is corrupt and it will format it, but when u press continue nothhing will happen...
Solution:
Do a internal format first, format the c drive...
how to?
jog up
press: *
jog down
jog down
press: *
jog down
press: *
Number 5: Internal format
That will remove the programm that is stuck in your p800
And u will get 2 mb more space after the format... |

wow... thanks for the help is it advisable to change / replace things on the p800 like you did? did u experience anything unusual? again thank u so much for helping me out. i didnt even know that internal format shortcut.  btw, is making an internal format different from doin a master reset?

As i advice anyone, do not change anything unless u ar sure, cause one mistaken relplacement in the romdrive, u could shit up your p800 and u will loose ur warranty...
maybe they cant find it, but when they do... they wont do anything about a faulty f**ked up p800

Nookie, i believe tha app is in ur Memomery Stick Duo
Do a format on it,
Go to control panel, format disk, format D:
When u do an internal format all internal stuff wil be removed, as same as ur cda version is blank right now , so if u do a external format on ur MSD then i am almost sure u will get rid of the app... ! |

ha ha... that did it all right. i guess i installed it on the duo by mistake since i always install apps on the phone memory. whew... that takes care of that. phone memory seems smaller with the new sw. thanks again.
