Every time i speak to CPW they tell me that they will not be doing the training until May and that is when they will be doing the upgrade. Has anyone else had this problem? I am based in central London and none of the stores I have spoken to can do it. |

I have just taken my orange P800 into the CPW at Baker St (just around the corner). They said Orange P800s are no problem. They said it would be ready at 5.30. However, on calling at 4.30 to confirm they said they have been having problems all day with P800s crashing. They have told me I wont get it back today after all. The girl on the counter told me it takes four hours to do each phone and there are four ahead of mine. I said that makes 16hrs so how can you do it by 5.30? This confused her a little and she got a little shirty with my sense of humour. does anyone know what DOES take so long though. This is a machine with a 12mb memory. How long can it possibly take to transfer this level of info?
Also, I have so many friends with P800s that it would be cool to be able to do this ourselves. How can we get the cable and firmware? Can it really be so specialist? I doubt it!

this happened to me at moko, the end result being a p800 that no longer functions properly and had to be sent back to celestica |

That's strange. I just got this e-mail from CPW when I asked whether they do upgrades for Orange P800s:
------------
Unfortunately the situation has not changed. I have recently spoken with out technical manager and he is awaiting on further news from Ericsson.
------------
Could you please give me full postal address of the CPW on Baker St. that does Orange P800s?
Thanks. |

Just got mine back from CPW baker street. Gave it in at 12pm and had it back at 5:30 after a lot of nagging. They tried to fobb me off with the battery was not charged, but i said that it had been charged over night and was totally full. They ummed and arrred and said that they had been having problems with phones crashing but i did get it back in the end |
