This question may sound a little funny. Have all those people who are facing this problem, installed AppForge booster? I faced this problem one day and suspected the booster. I may be completely wrong, here. However, I uninstalled it and did not face the problem. After a few days I installed the booster again and faced the problem once more. I again uninstalled it and since then, no problem. May be I will do some controlled testing to come to some conclusion.
Thanks

Always when you buy a product with a rechargable battery you must first use all power untill the batt is flat before charging! This will make your battery last longer. It is also good for the battery too! You should once a month run your batt totally flat and then recharge again!
So Never buy something and when it is half batt level charge it!
It also stats this will most product that come with a rechargable battery in the user manual!

For the P800's Lithium battery, it is not neccessary to discharge the battery completely before charging, as it does not have a memory effect. It can actually shoten the bat's lifespan if you do this.

I too felt the wrath of a power soaked battery last night, or rather this morning.
Upon going to bed I turn off the light, screen and screensaver with the battery sitting at 44% (which was strange in itself as it had been on charge all day until only 3 hours before then). I awoke this morning feel somewhat strangely refreshed, almost like a Sunday lie in. Then I noticed that I had indeed had a lie in as I was over an hour late for work. My battery had crumbled through the night!
£450 phone and it's not even worth that of a cheap alarm clock.
I've checked my open apps in Handy Day this morning, and I had my contacts and Internet open (But not connected). This is an amazing drain of power. I could understand if I had say a video open or an mp3, but a static webpage. Madness.
I'm going to keep a close eye on my battery from now on.
I'm also very worried for the people who haven't added extra applications to thier phone to help close open apps down. Without Handy Day I could have had my camera, audio, video, and internet open without ever knowing. |

The P800 should be compared to colour screen PDA's rather than phones when thinking about battery life.
I consider it a PDA replacement (for my Revo & iPAQ) with a phone built in.
Compared with the iPAQ3970 the battery life is better on the P800. If I use it just for phone calls I can get 2-3 days compared to about 5 with my T68. Using it as an PDA, MP3 player (but not much gaming) I always get to the end of the day with at least 30% remaining. It is always in the charger each night at side of my bed as an alrm clock. |

I had battery life of half a day, then I turned off the screensaver, put powersave to five minutes and I get two/three unless I use GPRS heavily.

@peeps,
Would you really say from ur xperiences and from what iv read here that symbian phones(p800,N7650,3650) really suck battery juice that fast even applying all the power management tools it has?
Im having second thoughts of buying one now.Il stick with my t68i momentarily until say the t610 arrives.
