So does anyone know if the T610 is capable of any remote control functions? Controlling TV perhaps? is there a program for this?
Haven't got the T610 yet but I plan to. Don't really understand how this program works or what it can do https://sourceforge.net/projects/fma/

The only way the T610 can do this is with a mophun application, which can access IR. But before we can start developing such apps the certification needs to be cracked otherwise the programs won't run on the phone... :-(

@fijbert
I also have the same Casio remote control watch, with the P800 you have to be within 10 feet pointing directly at the TV so it is a bit obvious what your at since the p800 is the size of a remote anyway. the watch is good fun in pubs changing the channels from greater distances and it is also discrete. I cant wait till they bring out a learning function like the Casio watch. I once got a m8's IR central locking/alarm key fob and got the watch to learn his open and close commands for his car (Citroen Saxo) doors, he was not impressed that I could disarm his car and open the doors from my watch
Citroen also has the same IR system on the Xara but there were two different pulses in quick succession for disarm and the Casio will learn the first and then stop, I think ( stuck key fob in front of video camera and saw two short pulses so that's how I know). I seem to have gone off on a tangent there are other IR applications if the p800 could learn.

Yup should be a fun thing to do...
But i have been doing that kind of trick with a casio watch since 1996... a bit outdated technological -trick when you compare it with bluejacking!

i used to do this too! i had a casio remote-control watch and i programmed it to work with stereos. i used to walk into dixons and turn all of the stereos up. heh. the salesmen were rushing about like lunatics trying to turn them all down again.

i had my first IRDAjack today... there was an old man watching the Wimbledon tennis at a panasonic shop eating his lunch.. i walked up to the window too and looked interested... then i turned sideways (got to love the subtleness of the position of the IRDA port) and turned it off... the guy looked incredibly disapointed considering he was watching tv in a shop window!
