well if the software has the same "name" or productnumber it would probably be r3 something but given the fact that this could have another productnumber it may be r1 something...or am I totaly lost here? |

No i think they always has latest version cuz today when i phone them, they raid they just got a new SE but is R2B. So i think there are pretty much version of R2B out there. Which means they're still upgrading it

As for the software versions:
- Its going to be R1A for the T68i since its the first release not an upgrade
- And R3A for the T68m since its an upgrade |

We all are waiting for a Sw upgrade in the phone...But what about the lousy \"my pictures\" program on our computers?Will it also take ages to have a better one?Think that at S.E. someone's sleeping... [:] My t68 will be outdated by the time i have what i had the right to expect from it...Does anyone agree?

This can be a new fun game while waiting for the new software..who can name the revision for the new release....
My bet is that it will be r1a (the revision that is) because remember the revision relates to the software not the hardware...the new software will be a completly new one with a new product number and not an update of the old software (the r2b)...so start supplying your suggestions...

I bought my phone in last month and just sent it in for a firmware upgrade. It was shipped on 2/28/02 and delivered on 3/1/02. Today, they just told me that they have received the phone and will be flashing it asap and sending it back to me. I just began reading these posts today and I really hope they give me that T68i (beta or not) version. The only reason why I sent the phone in (and sacrificing 2 weeks use) is to get rid of the Asian character input on the phone and get T9 predictive text for English instead. (You see: this phone was originally purchased in China) I'll post as soon as I receive my phone, since I read on here that the new version should be available in March, I just don't know which version they'll be putting in. Even after I get the phone back, I don't think I can stand having to send it back in for another upgrade if/and when the version they put becomes obsolete. I just can't worry over the entire, "shipping a $750 phone back and forth" idea; plus this phone is unmatched by any other phone available in the US, well then again this phone isn't even available here in the first place. I'll keep you guys posted and take care!
