Don't make me laugh look and tha back of the t68i they gave it a fcc id, ericsson doesn't pull out those ids out of the sky fcc gives them out ok so pls don't reply if you don't know what you are talking about
Thank you
P.S Well look at the fcc id of the t66 it was tested and they Approved Nov 13, 2001, that means the phone must have gotten to them in sept and oct and the phone just made it's way to the market not to long ago one month the most.

Apaman, i know what I am talking about, I work in this area for an American company in Singapore.

As I stated, FCCid is ONLY required for the US market. You disagree with this??

Secondly, the world wide market share for GSM held by the US is also extremely low. You disagree with this?

So I asked a question, why bother applying for fcc, just don't market the phone in the US. I DIDNT say they have not doen this in the case of the T68i, please read properly, thanks!

It would make sense that it would have to be FCC approved, it's tri-band, how many dual band GSM phones are FCC approved, probably none. It's the Americans trying to prove they're better than everybody else, I mean no offense but it's not just cell phones that the US do this with, they have authorities and administations for everything.

K I don't want to be rude to anyone just wondering why did they put an fcc id on the back of the t68i if they do not intend to sell it to the us and why is the fcc bogus????

The release date will be March 4! As soon as you run down and get your software update, your T68m will change and be called T68i!!!! That is what I've been told

On Monday we'll all have T68i's!!!!

Wouldn't it be nice if there was a whole upgrade package with change of software, covers and battery?I would pay for that if it was in reasonable price.

Guys i have said it once and i will say it again take the Siemens SL45 phone that was upgradeable to the SL45i (java) and if you wanted the SL45i label on the SL45 cover you pay some extra money and thats it,i think that you will be able to make your T68m to the T68i (SonyEricsson)look with Hardware changes with a price of course but software will be free!!!
