There are now USB bluetooth adaptors for the PC that boost the range. Have seen soom at 50m (ordered one) and a chap reviewing another somewhere at 100m range i.e. Your phone will still have th +/-10m bubble but the PC has +/- 50/100m bubble.
Don't forget you only get 10m if nothing acts as a barrier. Walls will reduce the range and especially any steelwork. |

sync your pc (already connected to the internet) to your p800 via BT, don't disconnect, then browse away..
t68i doesn't have a web viewer. it cannot be used for "pass through" connection to the internet.
by the way, it is not free. you are just using your pc as gateway. you still have to connect your pc to the internet and use that connection to browse the web using p800. weird though! why not just use your pc to browse the net.

PSI you still have a weak link in the chain "the phone" that still only have a 10m range ;) Unfortunately |

exactly... or more clearly, imagine if you're 50 m from your pc, and you try to connect. Even if the phone receives the signal from your PC, the phone can only broadcast back 10m, so the PC can't "hear" the phone.
If only it was that easy
By the way - these P800's really are great aren't they? |

So what your all saying is that the P800 would see the PC at upto 50m away but the P800 could not get a signal back to the PC unless it is 10m away?
For some reason I pictured a bubble around a PC of +/- 50m and a bubble around the P800 of +/- 10m and if the 2 touched/overlapped each other then communication was possible.
Oh well. At least I'm not buying the 50m one to repalce a 10m one as I haven't got one for my PC yet.

@jepaz
So how do I maximize my phone?
Do I need to download Opera?
I have both a Globe and a Smart sim (the Smart is prepaid though.)
Which one can support the p800 capabilities better?
Thanks. |
