Deleted mine as well, also deleted nearly all the media that came on the fone to save space, since I seem to have almost filled my internal memory and MS duo already!

mp4?
I thought they were gif animations...
So I can do this to my p800(standard se) too? |

mp4 is the video format the P800 accepts.
Yup, as long as you make that folder C:/sysdata and call the files startup.mp4 and shutdown.mp4
Be warned though, it seems someone made their own video file and corrupted it somehow, and before checking it worked tried it on the phone - he now can't start up his P800 as the video starts then freezes midway through playing. |

Does anyone have the default startup/shutdown that was included with R1A? Where the startup displayed green fluid droplets coming together to form the SE logo; and the shutdown was the opposite of startup.
I really liked that startup mp4 more over the default one that is currently present in R1B and later. If anyone has the files, post or PM me pleeeese!!!
heres a clip of the shutdown just so u get an idea:

Hi guys! Sorry I'm still trying to get my head round ad to how much the p800 can do! How exactly do I remove the startup and shutdown animations on my phone. I'm running win xp but still shouldnt be much of a problem. Some of you guys refer to 'file manager' does that mean it has to be in the cradle or is there another way of finging these files on my phone?
Please help and many thanks!
Steve x.

concerning the original post..
i was playing with BT between my p800 and PC and kinda fell asleep listening to tunes... when i woke up (like 8hr after....) the p800 battery had completly depleated.. so, i put it in the cradle to charge and it booted up with the original SE startup!!!
... now when i turn the phone on and off i get SE and not Orange logo's...
ive not deleted anything and my p800 firmware is R1D.
Edit:
just checked the C:/sysdata directory and the orange logo's are gone... hmm.. strange
