I found that the worst thing about my t200 is that there is no highscores for the games. I think is very stupid. And the second thing that i hate is the battery that last only for 2 days and a half if i talk for about 40mins. Beside that its a good phone.

T200 is definitely a good handset for the price... and the sound quality is great... but that also depends on the network

battery life is decent... and RF isn't too bad despite the first batches sold here in Canada had firmware problems that'd mess up the hardware...

one thing i don't like.. newer firmware for the T200 gives it an UNRESETABLE total timer...
Mobile handset(s):
1. PROTOTYPE TU2 Ericsson R520m CE. (Made: 00W43).
2. Rose White T39mc. (Flashed to T39m).
3. Icy Blue Sony Ericsson T200. (Water-damage revival!).

Actually, I've been having wet dreams about T65 lately. It is dirt cheap and has all the functionality you could wish for - lest a color display, mms and downloadable games. Although I will agree to the coolness of those features - I don't crave them as I crave synchronization over wap.

Imagine always having your calendar up to date with your personal schedule (from an online service). It totally revolutionizes your way of living.

---------------------

The problem with T200 is that there is no possibility to change the text-size (as on T65/R600). This makes it difficult browsing wap. The keys are a bit hard to press. What I like the most is the tennis-game. T9 works very well. Faster than on T300/68i.

R600 is nice and looks cute but has too many limitations. You can't even use the radio-handsfree HPR-20 with it. However, you can color-code (red/orange/green backlight on display) callers and profiles. That makes you sort of attached to it after a while.

T200 doesn't seem to fade out the display backlight as T65/R600 does. T65 is synchronizable over wap. That is awesome. It wins, hands down.

The t65 could have been a hugh sucssess if irda and/or bluetooth had been included, for a phone that was pitched as a business phone these are big admissions and if it had not had a price of £200 at uk lanch (sim free)

After playing with the t200 I bought my mum for chritmas you notice all the things that got left off it compared with the t65:-

Voice dialling
Mulitable numbers per contact
smaller screen
e-mail client
Battery life indicator in status screen
Sycronization over wap

If T65 had bluetooth/IR it would have competed with T68, which would hurt sales.

I think T200 lacks features (basically just software omissions) for the same reason. If you want features you have to pay for them. Considering that the software maybe costs half of the development-time this is sound reasoning.

The cause of this problem is that there is no way to separate software from hardware in todays phones. Thus you must pay for all the features you get even if you don't use them. And since SonyEricsson can't afford to sell specialized models for every persons wish (Nokia affords this) they have to generalize. One top-of-the-line with everything. One color-gamer-phone. One dirt-cheap phone. One cheap gprs-phone.

Another reason Symbian/Java is the right way.

-------

Note also that Ericssons system of "clipping on" accessories (like mp3-player, camera) etc is another way to tackle this problem. It lets you spend money on the features you want.

I think that the extras were left off the t200 to make room for the extra games, i think it has 6 or 7 compared with 3 on the t65. The thing about the t65 is it was not a cheap phone to begin with unlike the t200 with is

The 3 models have their own niches. The t200 is basicaly a midend gprs phone with ample phone memory and personable msg tone alert(the only se unit with such feature) and also with the fading menu(display sleep)-w/c the r7a sw 4 d t68 doesnt have or not activated. The t65 is basicaly a business phone wo the frills of the t68.If only it had IR and BT and a screwdriver 4 its backcover screws.Standbytime is impressive though.7-8 days wd ave usage.

One friend of mine is using T65 with R3A010. He wants a DBA-10 BT adapter for the phone. But it seems the current sw does't support this. Can anyone tell me which software version for T65 supports the accessory? Thx!
