FYI, Opera is already available for download on the SE site. I just downloaded it this morning. I think its supposed to use up around 225k or so of memory space on the phone.
Finally getting my P800 on Tuesday!!! |

@robpow:
You mentioned your firmware was upgraded to R1J. Which component was upgraded to R1J, the Phone or Organizer. Also, I have heaps of problems with infra-red, is that fixed too? Thanks in advance.
Cheers,

No screen controls for the P800. I wish there was a backlight brightness control... the backlight itself already has 2 levels of brightness... it would be nice if we could access & customize this control... at least it's another way to conserve power, even with the backlight on Auto! |

@senninha: Funny, when I installed Opera on my P800, it took about 1.2MB of memory... :)

Hi,
Do any of you think that it's a bit complicated, i can't find the basic things that i want and always need to open it. There aren't any profiles and my friend has a 7650, which i just sold to buy the P800 and he can record video and loads of games and i feel kinda robbed outta my money....
Maybe i'm just a bit thick and need some time to work the things out....
What do you think?

Be patient.. The phone is brand new. There wasn't any software out for the 7650 either when it first came out.
And besides. The software we have is much better than the software on the 7650.
More memory, faster cpu, much bigger screen |

@ejasim... the frontlight brightness is automatic... go to the power settings, and set the light to ON not auto... after a minute or so, you'll see the light go to half power.
I'd like to be able to set the light brightness to half all the time, or full... or have it timed, during the day: half power, and 6pm-6am: full power... or something like that. |
