I like this as is looks like an ice crystal plane with snow capped mountains in the background.
Taken quite early in the morning, a picture of the sun about to come up; start of a new day (does his count??)

The photo is actually the snow on top of my car with the garden hedge in the back taken in macro mode.

@ceaser2008 hey man, I meant to put in a photo or two the last couple months but Christmas a birthday and wedding planning got in the way. Good to be back to relative normality though
I actually tried the shot once the sun came up in the background but I just could get the shot right and I was freezing so gave up. Winter this year has been terrible in the UK.

Nice shot Doesn't fit the theme perfectly, but it is valid I think. You gave me a nice idea though  Hope I can actually use that idea too.... |

@Ricky D: glad to see your entry. creative indeed. if not for the theme, i would say that its a great macro shot!
i'm having a difficult time coming up with my own competitive photo for this month. there just seem to be a lot of subject that could cover the theme.
