Found this out in my first time of trying to set-up my GPRS, WAP, and MMS for my P800.

GLOBE's auto-setup works fine and you don't need additional information to make GPRS, WAP, and MMS work using myGlobe. The trick is to send "GO P800" twice...

The first time you send it, it sends you only the GPRS and WAP settings. After this, when you try WAP through GPRS it will work already. But try sending an MMS and it still won't.

Send it a second time and you will receive another auto-setup message, but this time this is for your MMS settings (it'll say naman what its updating in your phone so you'll know). Try MMS this time and it should work.

I noticed, however, that sending MMS straight (without copying to Outbox first) doesn't work for me... I copy it to the Outbox and from there I send the MMS and it works perfectly! Does this happen to you guys too...?

@savant

i replied yes when i rec the gprs & wap settings then i got the 2nd auto setup for the mms but when i send mms at around 94 percent i encounter an error message. when i called globequest who told me that mms doesn't work for some p800 handsets and if thats the case the unit must be upgraded. i'm really confused kasi i'm sending and receiving mms fine with nowmms. sa globe kaya mismo ang problem hindi sa p800 ko?

Discovered and fixed another problem with regards my MMS (dont know kung Globe lang to or others included)...

Ayaw nya kapag may special characters ang cellphone no. ng sinisendan! Same with you, it would stop exactly at 94%. My theory is that that's the time when its actually sending the MMS already and the MMS has already been successfully uploaded to their server. Pero since maarte nga sya, it can't send the MMS when special characters are found in the no.

Previously, I inputted cell nos. in such a way na naka separate yung 917 or 918 or 919 --- ex. 919-3864584. Try sending an MMS to this no. and it would stop at 94%. Previously I thought it was a kb size limit or something. Pero nung nagsend ako nung maliit-liit na na MMS ayaw pa din. So I tried removing the dash and just using space to separate --- ex. 919 3864584... BINGO!!! Nagsend na MMS ko!!!

Hope this helps.

I was trying to receive the test MMS from nowmms, and it failed.This showed up:

Program closed
Program Main
Reason code KERN-EXEC
Reason number 3

What's that?!
Does it have anything to do w/ my being on Smart?
