Great work, images look noticeably better with much less noise, however detail of files remains the same with before and after shot, i.e. files sizes are still at around max 3.1mb.. any way to change the jpeg compression? |

i couldnt find the way to change compression i got an idea and try tonight and test tomorrow if i get success, will let you know

impossible is nothing ^_^U BUT for know i cant understand how does the files works, i mean there is no config for 12mp but for WVGA it does so...

Thats good news, because JPEG compression would be one of the main let downs of the satio, i owned an early prototype and the photos were around a maximum of 6mb! and i couldnt believe it when i bought the retail version just how strong compression was... is there a config file for 9mp?

1.-enable open4all
2.-delete from c\\private\\10202be9\\persists
a)10282EDC.cre
b)10208696.cre
3.-copy files into path
4.-enable c2z patch
5.-restart ann enjoy

what if we dont have the 2 files we are supposed to delete. i just copied the file that is it.

just delete the the files you find, no matter if its only one, at least is one

BIG mistake sory sorry the correct path is
2.-delete from c\\\\private\\\\10202be9\\\\persists
do it ALL AGAIN, to make it works properly

Just tested again on both a satio with original untouched firmware and this mod with same apps and files installed, things Ive noticed:
-Colour reproduction is much more accurate in both camera and video with the new mod
-camera images are roughly the same file size, if anything around 50kb higher with new mod
-video frame rate for WVA stands at a solid 23.65, and for VGA 29.59 for the new mod (.20fps higher for both VGA and WVGA compared to the unmodded firmware)
-edges of objects eg flower, leaf, book etc seem slightly more saturated in the modded files (have lost a tad of sharpness)
-noise in night shots drastically improved in the modded files
-JPEG compression however still quite strong |

Why don't you install C2z maker?
Is so easy do this... Better than get a problematic cellphone.
